Creative Process
Each of my paintings begins with an idea, a special mood, or a motif that won't let me go. During the painting process, colors, light, and shapes develop step by step. I like to work spontaneously and leave room for changes – until a unique image emerges from the initial idea.

When mixing oil paints, new nuances are constantly created. Color, light, and contrasts determine the mood of my paintings and often develop quite spontaneously while painting.
At the beginning there is an idea, a motif, or a special lighting mood. While painting, a unique image develops step by step.
With every brushstroke, the motif takes more shape. Colors, forms, and contrasts build up gradually until the image achieves its final effect.
